Chemistry

For my entire high school experience, I experienced a lot of opportunities to grow myself on a personal and academic level. I took up hobbies such as reading, crocheting, dancing, and a bit of poetry to express various stages of my life. however, I also expanded on an academic level as well. I was the vice president of the National Honor Society, an active scholar at Merritt Leadership Academy, and an active team member on my dance team at Western High School. Furthermore, I also co-helped my friend in her club called Violet, where we advocate for sexual health and redefine the stigma on education on such matters. For the past three years of my high school experience, I’ve also shadowed various aspects of hospitals to educate myself on the different jobs and opportunities I can have within the hospital. I Shadowed various doctors, nurses, and staff members and got the opportunity to talk to environmentalists and community workers. Throughout it all, I realize that chemistry plays multiple factors in a lot of things I'm passionate about such as my passions and my future career. I knew that I had a strong passion for chemistry in my chemistry class when I understood everything that was being taught, and it came like a second breath to me. knowing that I can still be an active advocate for my community will also be educating or matters to help my community Makes all the difference.
