Academic Interests: Chemistry
I am a member of the Duke Pre-Dental Society, NAACP, and Duke's Black Student Alliance. I am pursuing dentistry because I want to make some sort of improvement to people's lives, without going in to a career as daunting as going into medicine. I also feel like dentistry can make huge improvements to someone's confidence, which naturally affects people's day to day lives.
“I like being a Cardea Fellow because having this community of other people around me who are struggling through the same classes and trying to achieve a goal similar to mine, kind of takes some of the pressure and fear out of being pre health. If I’m ever struggling in something, I know that I have my Cardea family to turn to. ”
