Areas of academic interest: Major – Psychology; I am on the pre-medical track and will be taking a gap year to pursue biomedical research opportunities. After this time, I plan on applying to medical school to ultimately become an orthopedic surgeon.

Taylor Ikner is a graduating senior majoring in Psychology. During his time at Duke, he became involved in many different programs and extracurricular activities. He is a Costanzo Teaching Fellow and acts as a teaching assistant for psychology 101, the Vice-President of the Iota Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and a research assistant in the medical cognition laboratory in psychology department at Duke. He is also a Duke Hospice volunteer, which he feels is one of the most rewarding opportunities that he has had during his time at Duke University.
