Tasia Isbell

Tasia is a sophomore interested in health policy and disparities within the US healthcare system. She is interested in understanding the various health determinants that impact the current US healthcare structure; she is also interested in public health fields and hopes to combine medicine and the humanities to gain a more refined perspective of medicine. On campus, Tasia is a member of the Duke Honor Council, and work to promote integrity and moral courage on campus. She is also the Vice President of Communications for the Duke-Durham Hunger Alliance. Additionally, she is a member of the healthcare sector of the Duke NAACP and is excited to work with minority health issues. Tasia is also a selected participant for the Ronald McDonald Family Story Project in which she writes narratives on patient's and their families with a focus on humanizing illness through writing.  Outside of medical interests, Tasia enjoys being active, reading, and cooking.
