Saint Francisville, Louisiana

Nneka is a senior from St. Francisville, Louisiana, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Education. She is passionate about the systems which harm Black individuals-- this includes the legal and education system. Nneka feels as if they often go hand-in-hand, and her goal is to be able to make a difference in these two systems. In the future, Nneka seeks a career dismantling systemic barriers in education and the legal system-- possibly through teaching or law school. She is currently a member of the FAC Board (First-Year Advisory), a Cardea Fellow, the social media chair of Duke’s Devils’ Gate Gatekeepers, and the 1st VP of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. For the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, Nu Omicron chapter, Nneka serves as the Community Service Chair.

“Cardea is an amazing environment structured to build more bonds than chemistry.  I've loved being a Cardea fellow, ever since freshman year I've had a family of goal-oriented people surrounding me.  ”
