Morgan is someone who loves to try new things, which is why she has so many hobbies and interests. Her hobbies include: reading, sketching, painting, writing, dancing, singing, acting, modeling, hiking, playing the violin, professional tee climbing, doing research, cooking, hanging out with friends, watching movies, etc. She also continues to participate in many hours of volunteering because she has been volunteering in the community, at church, and at school since she was little.
Some clubs and organizations that Morgan is involved with here at Duke are the Tree Campus Project, where she is the Duke Tree Campus Ambassador; TedxDuke, where she has been a Marketing Committee member for two years; Cardea Fellows; DivestDuke as a Core Member; and the Pre-Health Volunteer Program with Duke Hopsital, where she is a volunteer in the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Outside of Duke, Morgan volunteers in the orthopedics department of Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia (home state), and is currently on leave as a research assistant at NASA Langley Research Center.
Morgan plans to go to medical school in order to become an orthopedic surgeon. She has shadowed orthopedic surgeons in the past, and during her undergraduate years at Duke, she plans on extending her time shadowing doctors, volunteering, doing research, finding an internship, and anything else she must do to prepare herself for entering medical school and pursuing her career.
