Miranda has always been a bit all over the place in terms of interests and hobbies. Besides her love for science, she has also always loved art. Miranda has played the violin since the fourth grade, and has owned a sketchbook and a journal ever since she could hold a pencil. She has participated in theater and choir for a total of seven consecutive years. Art is a very large part of her; it's one of the few things that can feed her huge imagination and quell her spells of anxiety. But, this is only half of where my Miranda heart lies. Her passion for LGBTQ advocacy has long been a part of her, and has led her to start a support group in my high school for it, in which she plans to continue to show her support.
The future is a little blurry for Miranda. She knows for certain that she wants to research genetics. It's the only subject thus far to stimulate her thoughts in the same way that art does. However, specifics like what to research is still up for debate. Miranda might pursue medical school, or a graduate program. But, she knows that she can make something of herself in this field, and intent to do just that.
