I am a Program II major (Arts, Health & Healing). Program II was the best academic pathway for me. It has allowed me to explore and ask questions within the arts and health, two areas that fascinate me. Moreover the interdisciplinary nature of my unique degree program encourages me to look beyond conventional perspectives to better understand the intersection of arts and health.

In the past, I have pursued research opportunities in a gastroenterology lab and a Bass project that analyzed music therapy effects on children with autism. I am currently doing ethnographic research within the arts health field, specifically on using theater as an intervention for female physician stress management and wellbeing in Accra. Outside of my academic endeavors, I enjoy volunteering in Durham and singing with my Duke Amandla Chorus. I have also been involved with Duke MAPS since my freshman year and a number of other clubs during my time at Duke.
