Neuroscience

Helping people has always been my passion and my goal. I have always wanted to become a doctor, specifically a neurosurgeon. I am confident that majoring in neuroscience. My mission is to practice medicine and dedicate my career to ensuring that all individuals in my village have access to excellent health care. I find inspiration in helping others. Helping others is what encourages me to become a doctor. Aiding in the healing process, restoring someone’s hope, and causing one to smile is my motivation.
   
I have many goals and aspirations I want to accomplish in my lifetime. One goal that matters the most to me is opening “Evans Medical Center.” This will be my way of giving back and serving the community that birthed, challenged, and encouraged me to succeed. In my personal notebook of “dreams and goals,” I have already sketched designs of “Evans Medical Center” and have begun to create a business plan to bring this dream to fruition. I envision a medical center that includes state-of-the-art surgical facilities, picturesque meditation gardens, beautifully appointed patient rooms, and well-trained and educated doctors, nurses, and staff. Moreover, this innovative solution to healthcare for citizens of Putnam County, Florida, and surrounding areas will not only offer the best medical care but also impact economic development in the area by offering many job opportunities.
   
I believe that one does not have to be in a big place to do big things. One can “plant” and build at home, impact his or her own community, and thus influence the world. To change things globally, you have to act locally. I will give back to my community, and obtaining my medical degree and returning home to practice the healing arts is the method by which I will do so. It was once said by Denzel Washington, “At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have or what you’ve accomplished. It’s about who you have lifted up and made better. It’s about what you have given back.” I believe we all have an obligation to give back to the community that has given so much to us. I will meet my obligation.
