Global Health

Hi! My name is Cooper Branch and I am a Duke sophomore majoring in Global Health. My love of healthcare began fairly recently. The door to this amazing world was my high school chemistry class, where both the content and support of my teacher led me to fall in love with STEM. My teacher pushed me to explore this new found passion and I soon found myself participating in pre-college medical and science programs, volunteering at blood drives and more. However, I always knew that I wanted to dedicate my life to others, I just never knew how.

Today I live to embody this goal by spending time volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Durham Crisis Response Center and serving on the board of the Student Collective at Duke. I also hope to further this goal through course exploration, internships and more.

As I continue my journey at Duke I hope to learn more about the policy and research aspects of healthcare. How I can best support individuals legally and through in depth study.
