My name is Bre Anna Clinkscales, and I am honored and excited to be a part of the Cardea Fellows Program. I am from Charlotte, North Carolina, and I have lived in Charlotte with my parents and younger brother for the past 20 years. I attended Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology, where I first fell in love with medicine through the Health Sciences Academy. The Health Sciences Academy allowed me to take courses that pertain directly to the medical field. I am passionate about helping others, impacting the next generation, and improving healthcare disparities, and educational inequality. I am interested in using the healthcare field to improve the lives of the next generation. I aspire to advocate for all children to have equal access to medical treatment to ensure that they have the opportunity to grow up healthy and strong, both physically and mentally. Therefore, I am interested in becoming a Physician Assistant. As a Pediatric Physician Assistant, I will be able to incorporate my passions into my work! In my free time, I like to knit scarves, read historical and self-improvement books, bake chocolate cookies, attend jazz concerts, and watch Netflix and Disney+.
