Major: Program II (Visualizing Medicine: The Role of the Media in Healthcare Communication)

Arbre'ya Lewis is a first generation college student, from Marion, South Carolina. When she's home, she enjoys taking a drive to the beach and spending time with her family and friends. On campus, she is very involved in various organizations and activities. She is a student brand ambassador for Kaplan, is a member of the Duke Student Alumni board, she is a peer preceptor for the Rubenstein Scholars, and volunteers regularly at the Forest at Duke, which is a retirement community. Arbre'ya is a senior at Duke, and throughout her tenure she has had the opportunity to study many disciplines, and she discovered that her interests cover a wide range of topics. She has been able to integrate her interests into her studies through the creation of her program 2 major. Arbre'ya hopes to improve the quality of healthcare information and delivery through her work the integration of medicine and the  media. Arbre'ya feels that the opportunities and help that she has received as a member of Cardea and other University organizations that she participates in are helping her make great strides to achieving these goals.
