Neuroscience & Linguistics

I always spent a lot of time volunteering in high school, and I plan to continue doing so as a life-long goal. Currently, I am a member of Roteract as well as a part of the Duke Refugee Advocacy Program. Even outside of just volunteer work, serving others is a core value of mine, which is one reason I want to go into the medical field. With a love for brain, I hope to major in neuroscience and combine my passion with my values to become a neurologist in the future. I also want to pursue a linguistics minor, just out of interest for it. I am particularly interested in the history of language, sociolinguistics, and phonology, but I would also like to look at the intersection of neurolinguistics. Outside of career goals, I love all types of art and media (I love to read, animate, and play my violin) and also really enjoy trivia.
