Hello! I'm Ameer Haidary from Raleigh, NC, and I’m honored to be apart of the Cardea Fellows community. I study Economics and Environmental Policy at Duke, focusing on the intersection of race, class, and health outcomes, aiming to build equitable systems that serve marginalized populations.
As a certified EMT, I’ve witnessed healthcare disparities firsthand and am committed to serving on the frontlines. I hope to one day work in conflict zones, bridging gaps through policy. At Duke, I serve as a senator for Services & Sustainability in Student Government, and contribute to the Duke Business Development Group, and am active in Bass Connections research. I’m excited to continue growing and making meaningful change through Cardea.
“Being a Cardea Fellow is a transformative privilege that fuels my passion for change, surrounding me with a supportive, like-minded community. It offers invaluable resources and fosters unity, empowering us to grow, collaborate, and make a lasting impact.”
